We have been serving students in Beverly Hills and neighboring communities since 1930. We continue to flourish because of the dedication and commitment of the faculty and administration working together to create an educational environment that promotes academic excellence in an atmosphere of faith and Christian values.
Building on our multi-cultural heritage and the teaching mission of the church, Good Shepherd Catholic School fosters a sincere kinship with Christ and each other, as we teach the fundamentals of our faith, build a solid academic foundation, and provide service to our community.
We focus on faith-filled learning; promoting service and charity to others. Each month, one class sponsors a service project or fundraiser to help those in need. Our students strive to make a difference locally, nationally and globally.
“I’m so thankful for this school! My daughter is in the PreK program and it’s incredible! The student teacher ratio is un heard of! I toured and interviewed a number of very popular pre school programs and felt so at home here. The other parents are so fun and sweet, I honestly feel a sense of community in this crazy Los Angeles city. The teachers send photos everyday and the kids garden, learn letters, dress up, do arts and crafts, learn life lessons, pray and have so much fun! I am not over the top religious and the school does a great job incorporating lessons from the Bible in a tasteful and age appropriate way. We are so thankful to this school!”

“My two children graduated at GS a few years ago and they ended up attending Loyola high and IHHS with an incredible education and confidence. This is thanks to all incredible teachers and programs that Good Shepherd offers.”

“We have two children who have attended GSBH since TK and are now both in the middle school/junior high grades there. Over the years we have been very happy with the balance between the rigorous curriculum and the welcoming and nurturing school community. The teachers are excellent, especially those in junior high where it's crucial to prepare the students for success in high school. You should consider whether a small school - where your children will generally be with the same classmates for 8+ years - is the right fit for your family. Personally, we have found GSBH to be a gem of a school that offers an excellent education, a variety of extracurricular activities, and very importantly, a close-knit school community of families.”

“I'm so thankful for this school! My daughter is in the prek program! It's the sweetest little group of kids that truly feel like family. A real sense of community! The prek or preschool program is organized and fun for the kids. Structured enough but with gardening, outdoor play, learning and letters. Music and dance! The teachers send daily updates with photos. I honestly have no complaints! The office and administration are easy to work with and they are super easy and flexible! They were so amazing with the mask situation as well. Very kind genuine people: I also appreciate the element of religion and the lessons. They're all very age appropriate and easy and fun for the kids!”
“Our son is graduating from Good Shepherd this year with just shy of a 4.0. He's attended since 1st grade. He will continue in life with the great ethics this school's staff and community have instilled in him: kindness, leadership, service toward others, and academic discipline.
I can't say enough about how happy he has been, growing up with the Good Shepherd kids as his teammates and confidants over the years.
Academically, he's ready for anything. Socially, he's genuinely kind and thoughtful. These relationships will be forever - and I wouldn't want anyone in our corner as we raise a young man besides Good Shepherd.”

“My daughter started preschool here...the bond that I've had with the families in our class will forever impact us in the most positive way. I don't know if we just got lucky but our children all get along flawlessly. The preschool teachers are energetically creative and I couldn't have asked for a better year. My daughter has thrived, enrolled in extracurricular activities at only three years old! We are blessed that she already will understand tradition just from being at the Good Shepherd.”

“As a parent of 2 students, I can't say enough great things about Good Shepherd. This school provides an excellent education and sets the foundation for higher learning. Academically it is top-notch. The environment, the teachers and the parents provide for a family and faith driven community. Good Shepherd encourages and empowers the kids to develop both academically and personally. Great school!”

“Our child is in his second year of school at GSBH, and we could not be more pleased with his progress. He loves to learn and is excited to go to school every day. GSBH is very bright, clean and welcoming, with walls covered in fun art projects and pictures of happy students. The teachers are very creative and effective and the staff is friendly and helpful. GSBH uniquely offers Pre-K and TK in addition to K-8th grade, so the students really grow up together. It also means that the younger students are exposed to a more academic pre-school experience than the average daycare provides. All of the classes are very small, fostering a lot of one-on-one attention and a very close bond among the classmates. In the afternoons, the school offers optional music lessons, extracurricular sports and a fun after school program. We feel very lucky to have found GSBH!”

“My two daughters are in their second year at Good Shepherd and I can't say enough good things. We are not Catholic, and were presently surprised at the religious and cultural diversity at the school. The education is wonderful, and our kids are flourishing. I read some of the reviews below and am astonished, I have never seen children be as kind to one another as they are at our school. My older daughter is shy, and has completely come out of her shell, she is more confident and happy than ever. The teachers are supportive and the leadership is excellent. This is not a school that would tolerate bullying.”
